If you're visiting Guangzhou, there's nothing like a visit to Beijing Lu Pedestrian Street to scratch your retail itch. It's one of the oldest and busiest commercial areas in the city, and in addition to the plethora of restaurants and shops selling clothes, electronics, souvenirs and more, there are also plenty of places of cultural and historical interest to explore — including an ancient road that was discovered beneath the current street that is now encased in glass.
