From October to November, the Guangzhou Jazz Festival will continuously invite many renowned jazz greats, and hold two free outdoor music concerts, presenting an audio-visual feast for the audience.
Concert of Tsuyoshi Yamamoto (October 18, 8 p.m.)
For jazz lovers, pianist Tsuyoshi Yamamoto is renowned for his delicate musical sensibility, remarkable piano-playing skills and spontaneous piano-playing style. He has released over 50 albums and has performed alongside legendary American jazz musicians such as Dizzy Gillespie and Elvin Jones, making him a truly noteworthy figure in the jazz world. His hit songs such as "Midnight Sugar" and "Misty", which made him famous, will definitely be included in the repertoire of Tsuyoshi Yamamoto's trio debut at the Guangzhou Jazz Festival.
Concert of Yannick Rieu (October 31, 8 p.m.)
The internationally renowned Canadian composer and saxophonist Yannick Rieu has frequently appeared on prominent jazz stages in China since 2006. He was invited to participate in the inaugural Guangzhou Jazz Festival in 2015. On October 31, he will make a brilliant return to Guangzhou alongside the celebrated French jazz drummer Philippe Soirat, pianist Jonathan Cayer, and bassist Mike De Masi.
Concert of Herbie Hancock (November 2, 8 p.m.)
Herbie Hancock, a well-known jazz legend, will make his debut at the festival as well. With extraordinary artistry and groundbreaking musical creativity, he opened a golden era of electric jazz. Within nearly 60 years of musical career, he holds one Academy Award, 14 Grammy Awards and 34 nominations for the Grammy. He has released 65 albums and was named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine. This time, he is ready for a grand festival with powerful lineups.
Concert of Richard Galliano (November 8, 8 p.m.)
The grand finale of this year's Guangzhou Jazz Festival will be Richard Galliano, noted as the "world's greatest accordionist." Galliano has visited the Xinghai Concert Hall three times, leaving the audience in awe. This year, he will perform with the New York Tango Trio, showcasing multiple tango-style pieces, including his own compositions.

Concert of Rémi Panossian Trio (October 26, 4 p.m.)
The "Rémi Panossian Trio" is composed of three big boys who are passionate about jazz — pianist Rémi Panossian, bassist Maxime Delporte, and drummer Frédéric Petitprez. They have a unique style, with music filled with captivating yet unpredictable rhythms and cheerful pop melodies. Wang Cong, a highly popular singer and songwriter from Guangzhou, will also join them, performing collaborative pieces and inviting the audience to sway together under the sunshine.
Concert of Teriver Cheung and His Friends (November 2, 4 p.m.)
Hong Kong composer and guitarist Teriver Cheung, an active figure in the international jazz scene, will lead a group of talented Hong Kong jazz musicians to perform their original and adapted jazz works, showcasing the vibrant energy of Hong Kong jazz. This concert will be a highlight of the Guangzhou Jazz Music Festival, featuring the distinctive musical flavor of the Greater Bay Area.
