Recently, a foreigner-related policy presentation session was held at Guangzhou ULink International School (GUIS) by the Nansha Jiaomenhe (蕉門河) International Neighborhood. This event was co-organized by Nansha Foreign Affairs Office, Nansha District Public Security Bureau, Talents Development Bureau of Nansha Development Zone, and Nansha District Health Bureau. The session covered a range of policies closely related to the lifestyle of foreign teachers. These include residence permit regulations for foreigners in China, the application and renewal processes for (temporary) driver's licenses, healthcare policies for foreigners, as well as talent policies and benefits.

During the event, Officer Wang from the Public Security Management Division of Nansha District Public Security Bureau gave a clear and accessible introduction to the materials and procedures required of foreigners in the application for different types of residence permits. He also explained the Measures for the Administration of Examination and Approval of Permanent Residence of Foreigners in China. This presentation helped the foreign teachers present to gain a deeper understanding of relevant policies.

Regarding the renewal of motor vehicle driver's licenses which are of great concern, Officer Cao from the Operations and Traffic Management Division of Nansha District Public Security Bureau introduced the application process and materials required for temporary driver's licenses. Additionally, he thoroughly explained the policies and procedures related to the registration of electric vehicles to foreigners, which enable them to enjoy a convenient travel experience in Nansha.

Healthcare has always been a primary concern for foreign teachers. Foreigners often struggle with language barriers and payment channels when seeking medical services. To address this, an official from Nansha District Health Bureau showed the high-quality healthcare service options, convenient healthcare process, and the range of healthcare services available to foreign teachers in Nansha. This has enhanced the teachers' understanding of and trust in healthcare services offered by Nansha district.

In addition, the presentation by Talents Development Bureau of Nansha Development Zone on talent policies and talent apartments attracted wide attention of the attendees. The presenter illustrated the policies released by Nansha to attract high-level talents while highlighting the numerous benefits for them.

This was the first foreigner-related policy presentation session held by the Nansha Jiaomenhe International Neighborhood in an international school. The session has served as a platform for foreign teachers to directly communicate with government departments and better understand China's foreigner-related policies. It also helps to attract more competent personnel from around the globe to settle in Nansha and promote the internationalized development of the neighborhood.
