1. Yuexiu district
Time: From 8:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. , January 25 to 29
Places: Xihu Lu and Jiaoyu Lu
This year, the Xihu flower market will further highlight classic intangible cultural heritage elements by introducing 10 related projects with distinctive Cantonese characteristics, including ivory carving, olive carving, and lion dance.
Meanwhile, comprehensive and multi-channel promotion activities of the Xihu flower market will be carried out, such as a themed cruise sailing on the Pearl River, a drone show, as well as short videos being broadcast on large screens at high-speed rail stations in first-tier cities nationwide.
2. Haizhu district
Time: From 8:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. , January 26 to 29
Places: Binjiang Xilu (from east of Renmin Bridge to west of Jiefang Bridge) and Baogang Dadao (from the intersection of Binjiang Xilu to the intersection of Nanhua Xilu)
As Guangzhou's only riverside flower market, the 2025 Haizhu flower market spans approximately 1,400 meters in length and features 320 stalls. These include fresh flower stalls, potted flower stalls, handicraft stalls, and festive product stalls.
The archway of the Haizhu flower market retains the charm of traditional architecture while incorporating modern design elements. It draws inspiration from the spatial layout of traditional ancient buildings and the images of port cranes and navigational beacons, reflecting Haizhu's historical significance as an important port along the Maritime Silk Road.
Moreover, the flower market will feature a variety of creative products, interactive games, and special exhibitions. Visitors can participate in Spring Festival-themed painting creations and turn their artwork into DIY badges, keychains, and fridge magnets. They can also take part in a New Year's blessings relay game to win small gifts such as red envelopes and stickers resembling the Chinese character "福" (blessing).
3. Liwan district
Waterborne flower market
Time: From January 22 to 24
Place: Lychee Bay Scenic Area
Traditional flower market
Time: From January 26 to 28
Place: Liwan Lu
Compared to previous editions, this year's Liwan flower market is replacing the traditional archway with two giant flower baskets.
Among them, the one on the southern section of Liwan Lu is particularly spectacular, measuring 10 meters wide and 10 meters high. The design is inspired by celebratory flower baskets and incorporates elements of the Year of the Snake, fresh flowers, and festive themes, creating a Lingnan-style flower basket that blends tradition with modernity.
In addition to the three-day traditional Spring Festival flower market, the Lychee Bay Scenic Area will host a waterborne flower market.
4. Tianhe district
Time: From January 25 to 2 a.m., January 29
Place: Utopa Shopping Center, No. 12 Aoti Nanlu
This year's Tianhe flower market incorporates sports elements. The layout of the flower market stalls is designed to resemble a racetrack, and the flower market archway features a sporting ribbon design, echoing the shape of the revamped Guangdong Olympic Sports Center.
5. Baiyun district
Time: From 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., January 26 to 28
Place: Wanda Plaza, Yuncheng Donglu
Baiyun flower market features a total of 215 stalls, bringing together New Year flowers, festive goods, public welfare, food, and entertainment. A 4-meter-high, 14-meter-long snake-shaped decoration will wind through the flower market, creating a path of blessings where visitors can walk through and take photos.
Additionally, an open-air stage will be set up for the first time, offering timed flash performances. There will also be an NPC grand parade, allowing visitors to experience the New Year atmosphere up close.
