An annual lantern show got its lights debugged at Guangzhou Cultural Park on February 8 for the upcoming Lantern Festival, falling on February 12 this year.  

Featuring the integration of festive flowers and colored lanterns with Lingnan style, a total of 30 lantern sets will be showcased from February 11 to 13.

The most eye-catching lantern set is themed on the Cantonese Opera, with more than 500 big or small pearl-shaped lanterns forming a Cantonese Opera coronet. 

Another impressive lantern set features multiple vase-shaped lanterns with paintings of landmarks in the GBA cities on them as well as lanterns in shapes of bauhinia flowers, kapok flowers and lotus, city flowers of Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Macao respectively.
