According to Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau, people from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, as well as foreign nationals, can enjoy trade-in subsidies in Guangzhou for automobiles, home appliances, 3C electronics, e-bikes, and kitchenware products by presenting valid identification documents.

The trade-in campaign runs through December 31, 2025 (first come, first served).

Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan residents and foreign nationals who meet the following criteria can participate in the event:

1. Hold one of the following valid documents:
Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents
Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents
Residence Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents
Residence Permit for Taiwan Residents
Permanent Resident ID Card for Foreigners

2. Have a Chinese mainland mobile phone number

3. Have a Chinese mainland bank account (required only for certain programs: automobile scrapping and repurchase, automobile trade-in, and e-bike trade-in)

Car buyers must use the exact same ID document for purchase, bank account and WeChat verification.

Applicants must hold a valid Class 1 UnionPay debit card.

How to get subsidy and use it?

1. Offline stores

How to get subsidy:  
-Register on UnionPay Mobile QuickPass app or WeChat mini program "粵煥新"  
-Complete ID verification and pass eligibility check  
-Select the product category to claim the subsidy  

How to use the subsidy:  
-Shop at participating stores for approved products  
-Pay with:  
 -UnionPay QR code (if claimed via UnionPay Mobile QuickPass app)  
 -WeChat Pay (if claimed via WeChat mini program)  
-The subsidy will be automatically deducted when you pay for the product.

2. Online Shopping  

How to get subsidy:  
-Currently supported platform: Suning Online (Hong Kong/Macao/Taiwan only)  

How to use the subsidy:
-Shop on the platform and pay as normal  
-The subsidy will be automatically deducted when you pay.
-Online ordering items can only be delivered to address within Guangdong province (excluding address in Hong Kong and Macao).
