The launch ceremony of the 2025 China (Anyang) International Conference of Chinese Characters was held in Anyang, Henan province on April 20. Moroccan international student Anas EL Qadi, a participant at the conference, shared his perspective, "The Chinese character '中' is very interesting, because at the surface level, it looks simply like 'middle'. But in Chinese history, it has a major significance and its meaning is very deep and it has a lot of meanings. It can mean 'good', it can mean a lot of things. And I think it's very very meaningful because China in Chinese is '中國'."
